Surviving the web traffic of Ho Chi Minh City was the initial difficulty Linda and I needed to encounter when we arrived. On motorbike taxi we drove to the insane traffic to our hotel, a rather dangerous experience in the beginning (specifically for Linda). To illustrate, anywhere where you are looking are motorbikes, and they are driving as morons.
Next experience we encountered was obtaining out of this insane city, which provides you no mercy! In the very early morning (before the peak time) we ran away Ho Chi Minh and went on a much less crowded road to Mui Ne, a beach town south-east of Vietnam.
No trouble to take your motorcycle in the bus, if you pay! Hoi An was a great city to go to.
Much, we hadn't major problem with our motorcycle! We figured out a road (QL 8A) which was a shortcut in between the Ho Chi Minh East and Ho Chi Minh West routes.
The roadway was a hill pass, and the rain the day in the past had actually transformed the roadway right into a mud course. Brave and without giving up we proceeded the roadway, after two hours we drove nearly ten kilometers.
The clutch was broken, however we discovered a guy near the road so pleasant to repair it briefly by switching the clutch with the hand brake! We located some road workers and one of them was so pleasant to take Linda on the back of her bike and we proceeded that method.
Our shortcut did not worked out, after 6 hours, mud everywhere and a broken motorbike we reached the Ho Chi Minh West path. One more wrong estimate, off course you can not drive this distance in only 3 hours (prior to it came to be dark).
The guy was extremely friendly and also prepared us a nice meal and in the evening we played some Chinese chess. Linda and I were pleased we were saved and even discovered these congenial people. My money instructor always learned me; "there is no something as a free lunch".
With all rotten luck in the world, the equipment of Linda's bike broke. matrassen winkel. Just the 4th gear was functioning, and just the fourth equipment is not useful in the mountains. With a rope and a lot of initiative we drew the motorbike with a rope linked to the other (working) motorbike uphill
One more morning we spend having a hard time with our bike, yet finally we made it (after another 4 hours) to Phong Nha. In the evening we offered the motorbike of Linda straight, however the motor was ruined during the day. However, we appreciated the attractive and significant Paradase cavern and the huge mountains in the national forest of Phong Nha.
Time for some relaxing after the motorcycle ordeal, Linda and me went on a two day (one night) cruise ship to Halong Bay. During the cruise ship we checked out a cave and went in the bay by kayak.
Our last journey we made to Sa , almost five hours drive from Hanoi. Sa is renowned for their rice paddies, which are everywhere.
It was going back in time for at the very least 100 years. The fire was likewise a way to heat up the residence, with smoke everywhere in the home (harmful).
The next day we proceeded our hiking and ended up at her sis' place. Surprisingly, there was a large event going on for Tet (Chinese New Year), Mu welcomed us for lunch with her household and again we ate a great deal and we intoxicated happy water.
A fantastic cultural experience to participate in the practices and environments of a hill people (slaapanalyse matras). Linda and I are very happy to Mu, we appreciated her stories and the hiking. The last day in Hanoi we marketed likewise our last motorbike for a sensible cost (after some effort). What a terrific experience we had the last four week in Vietnam.
